Mission

Our mission is to:
  • Establish a national database on toxic chemicals by collecting all research findings related to food additives, residues, and contaminants conducted nationwide.
  • Develop rapid, accurate, and reliable testing and analysis methods for the identification of toxic chemicals causing issues in food products.
  • Serve as a bridge between academic institutions and the agricultural and food sectors in the region, creating and managing research projects of critical value to both parties.
  • Provide analytical support for multidisciplinary projects focusing on toxic chemicals.
  • Conduct research on current topics related to food safety, organize workshops, training courses, and seminars to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
  • Identify problems caused by the use of chemical substances and their metabolites in agricultural production within the food industry.
  • Diagnose and identify a variety of mixtures, diseases, pests, and resistance in seedlings and seeds, including the diagnosis and identification of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
  • Support the production and development of organic agricultural products and provide necessary laboratory analyses to address issues in the sector.
  • Ensure that undergraduate students receive sufficient knowledge in food safety and instrumental analyses as part of their engineering education.
  • Provide opportunities for master’s and Ph.D. students to conduct their research.
  • Offer research and development services to other universities in the region and the food industry.
  • Contribute to the creation of public awareness by publishing research findings and highlighting toxic chemicals in food products.
  • Support the resolution of issues related to foreign trade due to pesticide residues.
